Nikola, was born under communist rule in Fericanci, Croatia on March 17, 1953. Directly following World War II when sediments were unfavorable in Croatia towards Germans, Nikola’s father made a unilateral decision to move his family into Germany. At this time Nikola’s mother, father sister and himself embarked upon a 400 mile journey, with only two suitcases in hand from their former life. The Vidakovic family took refuge in Munich, Germany until the liberation of Eastern Europe. Nikola was transformed from a German refugee to a world-class car designer and artist. Niko attended the Royal College of Art in London, and later influenced auto designs at Audi, Volkswagen, & Ford Motor Company. Niko is currently a Scottsdale resident concentrating on prophetic art.
